McJustice - 30% more insolvencies in 2024 - filing claims made easy
By June 2024, we will already have 30% more corporate insolvencies in Germany than in 2023, and the trend is rising. To be precise, 11,000 companies have already been affected so far, having to file for insolvency due to imminent insolvency or over-indebtedness.This is an alarming figure, especially because consumer insolvencies and freelancers are not even included in the data.
In every insolvency, there are hundreds, sometimes thousands of creditors whose claims have to be registered with the insolvency administrator or trustee.
This can result in very high costs for the lawyer if the amount in dispute, i.e. the loss, is high. Lawyers are obliged to charge according to the German Lawyers' Fees Act (RVG). This means that four-figure sums can quickly accumulate.
McJustice was developed to help creditors register their claims themselves at a fixed price of 149.00 euros, regardless of the amount in dispute.
This eliminates the well-known question of creditors "Should I throw good money after bad money?"
All the creditor needs is the debtor's insolvency court and case number and the insolvency administrator's contact details. Plus an internet connection and a printer.
McJustice endeavors to provide all this data for known insolvencies. However, the platform is designed so that a claim can be filed for every insolvency.
The creditor enters their data, the system calculates the interest and creates a sample letter.
If you wish, you can also have McJustice represent you at the creditors' meeting in order to better assert your claims.
At the end of the payment process, the completed claim registration document can be downloaded. The creditor must then send the original documents by post. No other option is currently permitted in Germany.
Funds paid out by the insolvency administrator are then transferred directly to the creditor's account. So there is no long waiting time. Simply register the claim from the comfort of your own home or while on vacation, at no great cost.

We are convinced that many legal processes can be simplified in the digital age and handled without a lawyer. This eliminates the often difficult inhibition threshold of going to a lawyer.
In this way, access to justice becomes cheaper, easier and faster - and possible for everyone. Our team consists of experienced lawyers who can look back on many years of professional experience and who have designed our system and continue to develop it on a daily basis.
In particular, the experience gained from many years of client relationships and their wishes regarding legal issues are taken into account. The core issues have always been the prospects of success, the costs and the time frame.
