The Business Technology Days 2016 focus on helping you achieve Business Agility in the era of Digital Transformation

The Business Technology Days that will take place from November 7 to 9 include more than 30 cutting-edge presentations and keynotes that offer valuable knowledge to innovative businesses and IT decision-makers. In particular, the sessions of the BT Days emphasize the organizational challenges companies are facing within the era of digital transformation. Furthermore, the BT Days focus on teaching organizations how to utilize agile practices in combination with modern technologies in order to foster growth. The Business Technology Days are complemented by the five-day W-JAX conference that takes place from November 7 to November 11 and offers more than 160 workshops, sessions and keynotes. The sessions of the W-JAX cover future-oriented technologies such as Java, Scala, Android, Microservices, Web and Agile technologies. The speakers of the BT Days and W-JAX are well-known business leaders, thinkers and strategists who deal with the state of development in advanced organizations.

Conference Program of the Business Technology Days

On Monday, November 7, Thomas Grimm (ArtOfArc) and Carsten Sensler (ArtOfArc) will present in an interactive workshop the changes organizations have to make in order to adopt new technologies and ultimately foster growth. Furthermore, Konstantin Diener (cosee) will teach the audience how retrospectives can be constructed and how companies manage to keep them alive in order to achieve continuous improvement. David Tanzer (Freelancer) will talk about the reason why several big companies do not manage to be agile and why various small companies manage to achieve business agility. Moreover, Inge Hanschke (Lean42) will highlight a major issue in agile planning, namely an organization's planning and error culture.

On Tuesday, November 8, Danny Weinberger (R+V) and Inge Hanschke (Lean42) will present methods that enable business agility, such as the Digital Strategy Framework and a Lean-Method-Toolkit. Furthermore, Konstantin Diener (cosee) will focus on how technology can change the corporate structure of an organization towards agility and self-organization. Thomas Grimm (ArtOfArc) and Carsten Sensler (ArtOfArc) will point out the complexity of a transformation portfolio and help companies control it without burdening the organization. Uwe Friedrichsen (codecentric) will examine the drivers and goals behind DevOps, why we need the change and what else is needed to really “become DevOps”.

On Wednesday, November 9, Matthias Bohlen (Expert for effective product development) will explain why cost estimates in software development represent a major problem and how organizations can overcome this burden. Yasmine Limberger (Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt) will teach attendees how to react in conflict situations and what communication strategy to use in order to achieve their goals. Finally, Stephan Schmidt (übercto) will point out how companies and employees lose their focus and how to regain it.

Participants will have the chance to take part in the Expo on November 8 and 9 where innovative companies in the IT industry will present their services and products. They will also have the opportunity to interact with speakers, broaden their professional horizons and network with industry representatives and other conference participants.
