Press release from: EnOcean GmbH

/ PR Agency: Neesham Public Relations

The popularity of self-powered wireless switches from EnOcean is making them the standard for flexible electrical installation in intelligent eco-efficient buildings. Previously available in pure white, anthracite and aluminium matt colour variants, EnOcean is responding to UK customer requirements with the introduction of the new PTM 250 easyfit wireless switch insert in high-gloss pure white finish.

EnOcean easyfit combines service-free power generation from finger pressure with highly reliable EnOcean wireless transmission, and fits into a variety of 55 x 55 frames from German manufacturers such as Berker, Gira, Jung and Merten. Both single and inline rocker switches are possible. Light and shutter symbol print is optional. The smooth surface is easy to clean and is suitable for all kinds of commercial and residential buildings. The new colour variant is better suited to the UK market’s design requirements and is marketed exclusively by Ivory Egg via www.EnOceanShop.co.uk.

The EnOcean easyfit switch insert was created in 2005 to meet the demands of modern building projects, such as flexible room configuration, energy efficiency, future-oriented building services automation, minimised installation and operating costs plus attractive design. The wireless switch has already been used in numerous large-scale projects instead of hard wiring. For example, the new SAP headquarters in Walldorf, Germany. Powering itself from its own innovative energy harvesting technology, the switch can dispense with batteries and eliminates the requirement for any servicing or maintenance. The switch insert transmits by the interoperable EnOcean standard, which has now been adopted by more than 60 manufacturers worldwide.
