According to Mr. Sulaiman, the sales and distribution of cement has been a cornerstone Galiawa's operations for over 40 years now. The Group began with just ten trucks delivering cement in a small region of Kurdistan in 1983. "Today, we have transportation services from the northernmost point of Iraq all the way to the South," added Mr. Sulaiman.

"We have a bold vision to shape the future into something extraordinary. We have built a legacy over four decades for innovative products and building solutions that aim to make life better for many of our young kids in the region," stated Mr. Sulaiman.
Galiawa Group has recently diversified into higher education [https://www.instagram.com/galiawa_group/] as part of efforts to bring top-level European higher education and academic standards to Kurdistan. The company established the Galiawa International University (GIU), which aims to inspire and nurture a new academic culture in Erbil and produce dynamic and highly educated young people in the Kurdistan employment market.

"The best students here have left the country in search of European education, where many of whom have found employment abroad. This has created a brain drain in Erbil and affected Kurdistan's economic potential. This is where GIU comes to the rescue. We want knowledge and critical thinking back in Erbil and bring more opportunities for young children, who serve as our hope for the future," noted Mr. Sulaiman.
At present, Galiawa Group, the parent company of GIU, owns a Czech branch campus in Erbil. This project has allowed the Galiawa Group to establish strong relationships with Czech universities and the Czech consulate in Erbil.
The company started out under the name Salahaddin in the 1980s but changed the name to Galiawa in 2001. It has led the way in delivering public and private sector projects and has proven itself to be an expert across a broad range of market sectors for over 40 years.
Over the years, Galiawa has worked with several prestigious clients, including the Government of Iraq (GOI), the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), the U.S. government, various UN organizations, and several international non-governmental organizations.

Image: https://www.globalnewslines.com/uploads/2025/12/1766183100.jpg
For many people, a U.S. visa is only the beginning. What they truly want is certainty - the ability to live, work, and plan their future in the United States without expiry dates, renewals, or ongoing fear that a single decision could unravel years of effort.
That certainty is called a Green Card.
Yet despite its importance, the Green Card [https://larhdellaw.com/] process is often misunderstood. Some believe it is only for…

For international companies with ambitions to enter the United States, few visa options are as powerful - or as misunderstood - as the L-1 Intracompany Transfer Visa.
When used correctly, the L-1 visa allows established businesses to expand into the U.S. market, transfer trusted senior staff, and build a long-term American presence without relying on lotteries, third-party sponsors, or speculative investment routes. When used incorrectly, it becomes one of the…

The B-1/B-2 visitor visa [https://larhdellaw.com/]is often described as the most common U.S. visa. That description, while true, can be misleading. Its familiarity causes many applicants to underestimate how closely these visas are scrutinised - and how easily an application can be refused.
In today's immigration environment, visitor visas are assessed with a level of caution that surprises even experienced international travellers. The rules themselves have not dramatically changed, but how…
