Bill La Forte to Attend White House Briefing Hosted in Partnership with American Heart Association
Rochester, NY, August 23, 2016 -- Trevett Cristo, a general practice law firm that has been serving the Greater Rochester area for over 90 years, is pleased to announce that Bill La Forte, Partner at Trevett Cristo, has been asked to attend a briefing on cardiovascular health at the White House this Friday, September 9. The briefing is hosted in partnership with the American Heart Association, for which Bill has been recently named Chairman Elect for the Northeast region of the AHA affiliate board. This affiliate board serves the Northeast region of the U.S., covering eight states.The one-day event will feature panels of notable medical professionals, such as Dr. Gary H. Gibbons, Director, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) at the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Robert Califf, FDA Commissioner and Cardiologist, and Nancy Brown, CEO, American Heart/Stroke Association, as well as possible opening remarks given by Michelle Obama. The panel presentations will focus on cardiovascular health and improving overall heart health in our communities.
La Forte has been involved with the American Heart Association for over 12 years, serving on the Rochester Regional Board for almost 10 years and as its Chair from 2012-2014.
“I’m honored to represent not only Trevett Cristo, but the entire Northeast region at this special event,” says La Forte. “Having personal ties to stroke and heart disease, the issue of cardiovascular health is one I’m committed to improving.”
La Forte is Trevett Cristo’s principal commercial real estate attorney, with extensive experience in both commercial and residential real estate matters. He largely focuses on counseling real estate developers, businesses and condominiums and homeowners’ associations.
