Varied adventure tours through Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg, 22.07.2024 - The city tours and "Experience Wolfsburg" theme days organized by Wolfsburg Wirtschaft und Marketing GmbH (WMG) offer the opportunity for varied journeys of discovery through Wolfsburg. The adventure tours in August focus primarily on activities in the fresh air and in nature, giving participants a multifaceted view of Wolfsburg's various leisure activities. The guided tours can be booked online at www.wolfsburg-erleben.de or at the Wolfsburg Store, including the Tourist Information Office.

"Summer is here and with it a varied city tour program that combines art, culture and nature. Especially those who spend the best time of the year at home can still discover new things in their own home town with the city tours," explains Christoph Kaufmann, Head of Wolfsburg Store and Tourist Information at WMG.

The "NaturWege" bike tour kicks off on August 3, 2024 at 10 am. For all nature lovers, the tour offers a unique opportunity to discover Wolfsburg's green oases. The tour starts at the Wolfsburg Store opposite the main train station and leads through the city center, past the Schillerteich pond and along the Allersee lake. After a short break, the tour continues to Wolfsburg Castle, among other places.

On August 11, 2024 at 10 a.m., technology enthusiasts will gain exciting insights into the history and functioning of the lock lift in Sülfeld, which brought shipping traffic to Wolfsburg, during the "SülfelderSchleuse" guided tour. With a bit of luck, participants can even experience a lock operation up close.

The "GeoPark Family" family tour will be part of the city tour program for the first time on 18 August 2024 at 10 am. The playful journey along the geological trail on the Klieversberg is suitable for the whole family and promises a shared adventure with exciting and educational insights for young and old.

The after-work tour "BeachTime" on August 22 at 5 pm is suitable for anyone who wants to end a long working day in a relaxed and eventful way. After a relaxed tour of the Allerpark, you can enjoy the evening in good company with a cool drink in your hand and a view of the lake at the WakePark beach bar.

It continues on August 23, 2024 at 1 pm with a classic, the "WerkTour". The combination of a classic city tour and a round trip on the panoramic train through the Volkswagen plant allows participants to experience at first hand how a car is made and how Volkswagen has shaped the development of the city.

A particularly refreshing way to explore Wolfsburg is the "NaturQuellen" hike through the Wolfsburg city forest on August 25, 2024. The tour offers a short break in the middle of nature and leads through the Hasselbachtal valley to the numerous fountains and springs where you can refresh yourself during the tour. Participants receive exciting information about the city of Wolfsburg's drinking water supply, the various springs and fountains and special animal and plant species in the city forest.

In addition, every Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. there is the opportunity to discover Wolfsburg on a guided tour of the city center. These tours can be booked up to 15 minutes before the tour starts, making them particularly suitable for last-minute bookings.

A detailed overview of all public tours can be found online at www.wolfsburg-erleben.de/oeffentliche-stadtfuehrungen-in-wolfsburg. Tickets are available from 7 euros for adults and 4 euros for children. There are attractive special conditions for families in the form of family tickets.

All guided tours can also be booked exclusively and individually for groups on a different date.

In addition to the public city tours, a special highlight in August is the "Experience Wolfsburg" theme days, which offer the opportunity to visit various leisure activities in Wolfsburg for a whole day.

Participants can look forward to a factory tour, a visit to the Autostadt and a guided tour of the Volkswagen AutoMuseum on August 22, 2024 from 9:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. under the theme "The Fascination of Cars".

On August 29, 2024, the "Sporty Wolfsburg" theme day will take place from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Allerpark with all its diverse leisure facilities such as the Volkswagen Arena, the B'MOOVD Sportsbar & Bowling or the WakePark Wolfsburg.

Tickets are available for 15 euros per person and can be booked online at www.wolfsburg-erleben.de/thementage.
