American Youth's Cultural and Tourism Exchange in Dongying Concluded

Recently, Dongying, a city located in East China's Shandong Province, welcomed 16 teenagers from the United States, who took a ten-day cultural and tourism exchange trip here.

Their trip started on June 19. At the Dongying Youth Demonstration Practice Base, American teenagers felt the agility of shadow puppets and learned noodles making techniques; walking along the "Old Streets and Long Alleys" pedestrian street, they tried making sugar paintings by themselves and tasted Lijin pan-fried buns. Each experience left a deep impression on them.

The magnificent scenery of the Yellow River Estuary Ecological Tourism Zone opened a window for them to see the wonders of nature up close. And they were all amazed by the spectacular of "Yellow River meeting the sea", as well as the freedom of rare birds here.

At Sun Tzu Cultural Park, teenagers embarked on a cultural journey to explore Chinese ancient wisdom. They praised the bravery of ancient warriors at the archery range, experienced brush making, and appreciated the depth of Chinese culture. At night, lights and shadow lit up Sun Tzu Cultural Park, where a number of cultural activities were held here, showing the profoundness and unique charm of ancient Chinese culture to teenagers.

At Dongying No. 1 Middle School, Chinese and American students established a deep friendship and improved mutual understanding by making dumplings, practicing calligraphy and playing volleyball together.

At the end of their trip in Dongying, 16 American teenagers drew creative paintings inspired by the city, using their brushes to depict this unforgettable journey across borders.
