SpellCasters Producer Jumps To Primetime - Super Joe Appears on Guinness World Records

January 22, 2008 - Los Angeles, California - Daredevil “Super Joe” Reed, producer of “Dare the Devil”, a comprehensive documentary on the early days of what has become X-treme sports, currently airing on SpellCasters Showcase, spellcasters.com, will be featured on NBC’s January 27th Guinness World Records special, airing at 9 PM PST, highlighting Joe’s rooftop to rooftop jump, 14 stories above the streets of Los Angeles.

“I have the ultimate respect,” said Reed, “For guys like Trigger Gumm and Robbie Maddison, but I grew up with guys like Evel, and so my stunts are more “death-defying” than the distance jumping that is so common today. When you build an artificial “mountain” for your down ramp, it leaves a lot of room for error. When I jump building to building, if I miscalculate by the slightest… my speed, my angle of attack, my landing spot… I can get killed! After all, I’m 140 feet off the ground at takeoff!”
