Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, Javdani transitioned to the retail sector by acquiring a small grocery store in San Diego's Clairemont neighborhood. He expanded its offerings to include a diverse range of international products, transforming it into the thriving Balboa Market. The market now serves San Diego's diverse population and includes a restaurant and catering service.
"Expanding the market has been incredibly rewarding," says Javdani. "I love seeing our customers connect with the flavors of their homeland and discovering new culinary traditions."
Balboa Market has become a cultural hub, known for its authentic international cuisine and community events. Javdani's commitment to quality, authenticity, and sustainability has helped him overcome challenges in sourcing authentic products and adapting to diverse dietary preferences.
