John Carter Cash Introduces Megan Linville To Country Music Fans

Nashville Tennessee – Singer/songwriter Megan Linville has joined forces with Grammy Award winning producer John Carter Cash on a new album, one which is sure to gain many new fans for this multi-talented newcomer. The five song disc, recorded at the historical Cash Cabin Studio, demonstrates Linville's credibility as an artist and will surely leave listeners craving more.

The beautiful Ms. Linville has a powerful voice and a rare gift for songwriting. With her determination and charming personality, she is the total package destined for success in the country music world. Hoping to recruit new fans, Linville has a full schedule of performances in and around Nashville and she continually hones her skills, while adding to her catalog of songs, by including sessions with a variety of Nashville songwriters.

Linville's talent was showcased on Waiting In the Wings, a popular feature on CountryStarsOnline.com where many newcomers such as Chris Young have been recognized. Her songs were also included numerous times on the play lists of Unsigned Musicians Internet Radio.

Jerry McBee, her grandfather, wrote songs for many legendary singers including Roy Orbison, Billy Walker, Jerry Lee Lewis, Faron Young, Charlie Pride and Brenda Lee. His successes have significantly inspired Linville's ambition to perform throughout her life, beginning at the ripe old age of five when she debuted on stage in front of about 250 people. Since then she has sung at multiple weddings, county celebrations, musicals, plays and piano recitals. Throughout her younger years Linville confesses she would sing a Disney song at every annual school talent show but she says that the unique sound she has today was influenced by an eclectic mix of country artists which includes Kenny Chesney, Sugarland and Jason Aldean.

Cash, the only son of two of country music's most beloved icons, the late Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, was the associate producer for three of his father's albums, American Recordings III, IV and V, and he worked on two of his mother's albums; co-producing Press On and producing Wildwood Flower. He has also produced albums for many others; among them, Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris and Vince Gill. In 2005 he was the executive producer for the movie "Walk the Line," a biography based on his father's life. Most recently, he wrote a book called "Anchored In Love;" a tribute to his mother that tells about her triumphs, tragedies and successes in life.

As an acknowledged producer, author and songwriter with five Grammy Award winning creations under his belt, Cash is delighted to add Linville's CD to his list of accomplishments.

This young singer/songwriter knows how tough the music business can be, but she definitely has the mindset and self-determination to thrive. "My inner voice was always telling me that I was going to choose this, even from a very early age," she said. Her grandfather, Jerry McBee, is one who greatly influenced her love for music since he wrote for many country stars.

Linville has taken private lessons on the piano for about 10 years and recently began learning how to play the guitar to help write songs. In August she took another step toward a record deal when she recorded a few tunes with John Carter Cash, the only son of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash.
