Brandon Blackwood Story

Brandon Blackwood, a New York brand, debuted in 2015 with four unique bag designs, quickly gaining market recognition. In January 2023, Brandon(left) chose XINZIRAIN as the exclusive manufacturer for a new shell-inspired footwear line. This partnership marked a significant milestone.

In February 2023, Blackwood released its first XINZIRAIN-produced collection. The collaboration was honored when Blackwood won the Best Emerging Footwear Brand of the Year at the Footwear News Achievement Awards on November 29, 2023.

Design Concept

"As Blackwood's designer, I aimed to capture nature's beauty in our latest collection, inspired by the elegant and resilient shells found along shores. Our shell-inspired sandals blend luxury with natural beauty, celebrating nature's artistry and sustainable design.

"Initially, we doubted finding a suitable manufacturer in China, given the stereotype of mass-produced fast fashion. However, collaborating with XINZIRAIN proved otherwise. Their exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail rival Italian standards while controlling costs. Materials Sourcing

Through extensive screening and communication with the Brandon Blackwood team, we sourced perfect shell embellishments from Guangdong, China. These shells have been rigorously tested for safety and quality. This achievement brings us closer to delivering the unique, high-quality sandals that align with Brandon Blackwood's vision.

Shell Stitching

After sourcing the perfect shell material, the XINZIRAIN team [https://www.xingzirain.com/] tackled the challenge of securely attaching the shells without compromising aesthetics. Standard adhesives were insufficient, so we opted for sewing. This increased complexity and required meticulous handcrafting, but ensured the best visual effect and stability for Brandon Blackwood's product, achieving both durability and elegance.

Sample Making

After securing the shells to the uppers, the XINZIRAIN team completed the final assembly stages, attaching heels, pads, outsoles, linings, and insoles. Every material and technique was confirmed with the Brandon Blackwood team to ensure the product matched their design vision. Special molds were created for the logos on the insoles and outsoles, showcasing the collaboration and commitment to quality.
