A Legacy of Sustainability
Born in Miami, Gloria Mantell Pallot's childhood was spent playing on the sandy shores of Collins Ave and 3rd Street, where her family bungalow was direct oceanfront.
Growing up, Gloria witnessed the phenomenal creation of Ocean Drive and the transformation of downtown Miami into a bustling metropolis. Her participation in Fashion Week reflects a legacy of resilience and adaptability, mirroring the values of the brand she represents-"Love for Upcycling.
A Lifetime of Adventure
Seventy years ago, Gloria and ten other native Floridians started what was to be called the "Klicky Klub".
Over the decades, the ten women lunched every Wednesday and planned their travels around the world, eventually visiting over 10 countries.
A fifth-generation Miami family, the Pallots opened Miami's first gas and tire station. Through the decades, Norton Tire morphed into a chain of tire stores later acquired by Goodyear.
The family also started one of the first Miami Savings and Loans, Biscayne Federal (later acquired by Citibank). Gloria's husband, Norton Pallot, will be 100 years old this year. The last time Gloria was center stage at an event was 73 years ago as she walked down the aisle to marry her husband, Norton.
