Sacramento Attorney Ken Rosenfeld Recognized in the Wall Street Journal for the 2024 Lawyers of Distinction List

Following a recent scrutiny of his professional achievements and ethics as a criminal defense attorney, Ken Rosenfeld of The Rosenfeld Law Firm was named a member of the 2024 Lawyers of Distinction for criminal defense law. Rosenfeld was subsequently honored alongside his fellow 2024 Lawyers of Distinction in a full-color recognition ad in the February 9, 2024, edition of the Wall Street Journal .

Lawyers of Distinction, a legal fraternity of attorneys from both the United States and abroad, makes its annual selection of exceptional attorneys through a rigorous review and vetting process. Once nominated by peers or by the Lawyers of Distinction Selection Committee, candidates are evaluated based on professional expertise, experience, reputation, and disciplinary history in order to determine which attorneys demonstrate excellence in the practice of law. This examination uses such objective criteria as case results (verdicts and settlements), legal experience, honors and awards, professional activities (including lectures and publications), educational background and special certifications, pro bono and community service, and Google and AVVO reviews. Candidates must also undergo a background check and ethics review covering the ten years prior to nomination.
Rosenfeld's selection to the 2024 Lawyers of Distinction list acknowledges his prowess in criminal defense law, including California mental health law [https://www.therosenfeldlawfirm.com/california-mental-health-law/], his defense of lewd conduct and offenses, and his work as an appeals lawyer, for which he has been admitted to practice in the California Courts of Appeals, the California Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Having graduated from American University, Rosenfeld is licensed to practice law in the State of California and is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Northern Districts of California. As a Lawyer of Distinction, he is likewise recognized for his regional and national appearances in media as a criminal law commentator and his efforts helping law students prepare for the bar examination in constitutional law.
Having previously received the Lawyers of Distinction merit in 2021, Rosenfeld was most recently named a 2023 Lawyers of Distinction "Power Lawyer" in recognition of his success as a California criminal defense attorney. Rosenfeld has also been named Litigator of the Year by the American Institute of Trial Lawyers.
