Spanish language students get to know the Spanish lifestyle

Language students of a Spanish language school in Valencia in the midst of Spanish locals.

Valencia. The summer returned and with that a variety of activities and festivals, which make it possible to spend the nights outside with joy and fun. Music connects people - a saying which is well known all over the world. Language students of a Spanish language school in Valencia were able to experience that motto at a typical Spanish open-air concert. La Gente Zona, a Cuban Reggae-Ton band invited the city Valencia to experience an exiting night with Spanish songs. The group combines Reggae-Ton with traditional elements of the Cuban music and is best known for their Song "Bailando".
The language students met at the beach to go to the event together. At first a variety of traditional artists, e.g. Salsa- and Kizombagroups performed acts on stage in a typical Spanish or Latin-American manner. With dances to join and dance along the students got to learn the basic steps of the traditional dances while learning a variety of new Spanish words. To the right, to the left, hands up in the air...and the mood rose constantly. At times you could even dance with a partner and meet new people that way. As the performers went on stage the crowd was already taken by the Spanish culture.
The ambition to learn and understand the words of the songs rose as the language students realized that the locals could sing along to every song. Here a screen on stage which at times showed the words was really helpful and made it possible for the students to learn new vocabulary and sing along. Hence learning a language does not only mean to learn the grammar but also to join and integrate oneself in the community - and the best way to do so in Valencia is through music.
With all this the language students of the Spanish language school Costa de Valencia spend an exciting and educational evening with a lot of dancing, singing and fun - just like one would imagine the Spanish lifestyle. At the end everybody was tired from all that dancing and celebrating and needed a good nights rest to be ready for the next exciting day at the language school in Valencia. Just like in one of the songs: "Bailando hasta que duelan las pies"!

Since 1995 the language school Costa de Valencia has focused on teaching Spanish to non-native speakers. This language school, which is situated in the heart of Valencia, is a Centro Acreditado of the Instituto Cervantes and a member of many associations.
The teaching material, which is used during the lessons, is worked out by a team of well-versed teachers. One of the most important aspects of teaching in this school is the individual involvement of every single student. This way every student has the possibility to speak very much during the language course. Furthermore, both managers place big value the quality of the language lessons and a broadly diversified leisure programme.
