Youth from Around the World Unite for International Youth Conference 9 (IYC9) at UCLA in 24 Languages

Los Angeles, CA - The UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs is proud to host the International Youth Conference 9 (IYC9), an extraordinary event bringing together young leaders from around the globe to shape a better future. From May 30 to June 2, youth will converge at UCLA and online to engage in critical discussions, drive impactful solutions, and make their voices heard on the world stage.

Highlights of IYC9:

Global Engagement: Youth from 176 countries, with over 7,600 participants registered, will discuss and develop strategies focused on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Expert Insights: The conference will feature distinguished speakers, including civil society leaders, ambassadors, youth activists, academics, and experts in international peace and security, science and technology, and global governance.
Key Topics:
Responding to global challenges and fostering peace
Leveraging digital technology for human progress
Transforming education and ensuring inclusive, safe information ecosystems
Re-imagining international financial systems
Empowering youth in global decision-making
Participants will collaborate to create a Youth Declaration, a powerful document summarizing their insights and recommendations, which will be presented to the United Nations and other key stakeholders.
