At Iwanson International, we all have one fundamental passion: we are all dancers, through and through. This passion drives us, inspires us, this is what we want for ourselves and what we have always wanted. We see our role in this world as professional dancers, and everything we do is dance, or has to do with dance. From training and rehearsals to the search for new techniques - Iwanson is a highly professional, international, multicultural group in which everyone is passionate about the art of dance.
Because when you dance at Iwanson, you dance with artists. We are united by the firm belief that the world needs more art. Our contemporary dancers show their audiences what the body can say and are always on the lookout for connections to other contemporary art forms. Since its foundation in 1974 by Jessica Iwanson, Iwanson International has built an outstanding reputation as one of the best contemporary dance training centers in Europe. The academy is open to students from all over the world - students from 26 countries are currently studying here. Iwanson International is directed by Johannes Härtl and Marie Preußler, two former Iwanson graduates.
