Press release from: MedSource Consultants

MedSource Consultants, one of the nations largest physician staffing firms specializing in the placement of Radiologists, announced today the launch of MedSource Locums. The inception of this new division will provide Radiologists for Locum Tenens assignments nationwide. MedSource Consultants places Radiologists on a permanent basis with hospitals and practice groups throughout the country.

MedSouce Consultants has recognized the growing demand for Radiologists on a Locum Tenens basis to provide temporary physician coverage for permanent staff during vacation periods, medical leave, continuing education training and military obligations. Additionally, there is an increasing number of Radiologists who are parting from a private practice environment as the result of the dramatic increase in the cost of Malpractice Insurance.

MedSource Locums provides a wide range of benefits to employers who have a need for temporary coverage as well as qualified Radiologists who are seeking stimulating temporary assignments. MedSource Consultants offers a professional and experienced staff who serves as a single point of contact for both the employer and the physician to resolve issues and facilitate communication with both parties. Additionally, MedSource Consultants provides bi-weekly payroll services, makes arrangements for transportation and lodging for the physician and assists in the credentialing process. These services are provided to the employer at highly competitive rates. Services provided to the physician include negotiating contracts with the hospital or practice group, providing malpractice insurance and assistance in obtaining licensure in the state of practice.

MedSource Consultants represents Radiologists who are seeking a more professionally diverse and balanced lifestyle than that which is generally afforded through fulltime employment or private practice. An increasing number of Radiologists have expressed a desire for a greater degree of latitude in scheduling flexibility, more independence in clinical decisions and the selection of a suitable practice environment. MedSource Consutants unburdens these physicians from the pressures, demands and constraints that inhibit the practice of quality medicine in their current practice settings by assuming the time consuming business aspects of their practice thus freeing the Radiologist to focus on quality patient care and further develop his/her medical expertise in an appropriate setting.
