FAS Group drives the future of the Forms Automation System (FAS)

Starting today, a newly founded European consortium will sell, support and further develop the FAS digital pen & paper technology. FAS Group is also launching a new partner program.

Bensheim/ Gif sur Yvette/ Corsham. A new European consortium, the FAS Group, has been licensed by Hewlett-Packard (HP) to develop and deliver the Forms Automation System (FAS). The consortium is based in the Netherlands and comprises Kayentis (France), Meticulus (UK) and SRS-Management GmbH (Germany) – three companies that have collaborated successfully with HP as HP FAS partners in the past.

Thanks to maximum flexibility and reliability, FAS has established itself in the market as a leading technology for integrating handwritten data into an organization’s existing information system. Numerous enterprises and organizations across all industries, including Messe München International, Eurocopter, Actelion Pharmaceuticals, Universitätsspital Basel and Hôpitaux de Paris, already use the forms automation technology developed by HP. The FAS Group is building quickly on these successes: As of October 15, 2005, it will be responsible for further developing and distributing the technology.

Agreements have been signed with HP, Anoto, Vision Objects and Logitech in order to offer customers a full solution portfolio.

The consortium offers existing HP FAS partners and Anoto partners a comprehensive set of software tools for their solutions. The new FAS Group partner program is called FAS Sunrise Program.

FAS Group will further develop the system and support already installed
and new FAS customers.
