India’s eCommerce will grow by 45%, lead my mid-size retailers in 2016

The leading e-commerce consultancy predicted growth of e commerce B2C retail business in India, the study covered data of 250+ online store and trend study of 14 product category.

The India e-commerce market is fighting with the bad economy, and the evidence shows the struggle is moving toward the positive cycle of growth. The market is experiencing down cycle due to intentionally created circumstances to pull down the e-commerce in India.

The study predicted, the year 2016-2019 will be the year of small to mid-size business, and found a trend of natural growth for small scale project whereas it’s tuff time for large scale project. The report predicted year 2016 would grant easy growth to specialise small-mid size portal and existing small-mid size portal will gain 45%+ growth, and the study also found few mid-size portal would surely take the top position in the industry.

Despite the slowdown in overall Indian retail market due to the liquidity crunch, Year 2016-176 will still boost the market due to faster growth of internet adoption in small cities of India; The study also expected double of the internet speed by end of 2016 in the major part of India.

"The e-commerce market including overall retail will face 12%-17% decline in sale begin from Feb 2016 to May 2016; the sales flow will be below normal +/- 5% in June, July 2016 and the Aug 2016 will bring some fundamental issues for the industry.
