U-STAR! FROM PHONE TO FAME
From phone to fame
This fresh new concept was already a success in the Philippines and is being licensed to several countries in Asia and Europe. It brings the fast pace and interactivity that younger generation and smart phone users expect. It is the only talent show that starts at your fingertips on any smart phone. The U-STAR mobile application – that will be available free of charge in both Google play and the Apple store - turns any ordinary smartphone into a powerful Talent Contest Platform. Through its broadcast quality karaoke app, literally everyone can participate in the competition from any location, 24/7 through any connected smartphone. No travel costs or time problems, no stress as the entry song can be recorded as many times as needed.
U-STAR App users can sing and self-record their video, then upload it to the U-STAR TV contest. Whether they sing solo, duet or sing in group, the participants have just one goal: to have the highest votes from the viewers.
The 100 contestants having the highest votes will be invited to the live Audition round and the top 10 contestants will be chosen for professional training and performing in 10 live broadcasting episodes on HTV primetime. In the final, the winner will be named Vietnam’s U-STAR and will receive a valuable award.
U-STAR will officially launch in Vietnam in Jan 2017. The on-line competition will start in the 1st Quarter of 2017.
U-STAR has been conceived and developed by Creighton Strategies Ltd, holding worldwide rights, licensed in Vietnam exclusively to TV HUB Joint Stock Company by RisingStars Asia Online Ltd. Pte., a company registered in Singapore, having all rights of the format for ASEAN. The first season of the Format was aired under the name of “RisingStars Philippines” in 2015 on TV5.
