Press release from: ELSE Corp

Featuring cutting edge technologies and 3d printed elements to enhance the product customisation experience in fashion retail.

Milan, 8th June, 2016 - ELSE Corp, a B2B startup from Milan, Italy, introduced the public for the first time to their innovative vision of the future of Virtual Fashion Shopping at Technology Hub Milan 2016. Situated in the Fashion and Footwear Demonstration Area, the company successfully peaked the interest of potential customers and partners, gathering excited feedback and new ideas for improvement of its services and features. The company showcased an interactive installation and videos that elaborated on the evolution of E.L.S.E., Exclusive Luxury Shopping Experience, ELSE Corp’s virtual commerce & virtual shopping SaaS platform, integrable into brands’ and/or retailers’ environments, to enable them in selling virtually customisable, made-to-order, industrial made-to-measure produced fashion products.

Since the first presentation at Micam 2016 of the project ‘Discover your Dream Shoes’ with Luxury Shoe brand, Michela Rigucci, ELSE Corp and their service platform, E.L.S.E., have evolved significantly. This was demonstrated through the E.L.S.E. 3D configurator that showcased the brand’s Exclusive & 3D Printed Bridal Virtual Collection. Next to the configurator was an installation that displayed a traditionally crafted shoe with 3d printed elements surrounding it, illustrating the myriad possibilities when combining in a modern creative way interactive 3D customer experience, traditional craftsmanship and 3D printing.

ELSE Corp went deeper in trying to explain the benefits of using 3D printed elements in mass customisation, through a short video that told the story of the journey of a bride-to-be, customising with the help of a 3D product configurator, her perfect pair of wedding shoes, with the finishing touch: a beautiful memory eternalised and transformed from a 2d image to a 3d printed accessory to be placed on her shoe.

ELSE Corp’s vision for the future of Virtual Fashion Shopping also stressed on the importance of immersive experiences during the product customisation process. Visitors could watch a simulation video of a customer’s augmented reality experience in a physical space, through a VR headset, highlighting certain features which are best suited to this type of technology and naturally supported by E.L.S.E.. The simulation video elaborated on the augmented reality experience where customers, while configuring a product, can collaborate with their friends, get realtime recommendations from a virtual assistant named ELSA (Exclusive Luxury Shopping Assistant) and have a multi-sensorial experience mixing physical and digital elements.

ELSE Corp’s vision of the Future of Virtual Shopping as the defining wave in fashion retail, was fortified by their success and the overwhelming interest received during the Technology Hub fair.
