West, a highly regarded Northwest literary figure has worked as a science writer in the UO Office of Communications before joining Oregon Quarterly as managing editor (2003-2014). His fiction, essays, journalism, and poetry have appeared in publications from Orion to the Journal of Recreational Linguistics. His work has been anthologized in Best Essays Northwest, Best of Dark Horse Presents, and elsewhere. He wrote and edited the University of Oregon's research magazine, Inquiry; and served as text editor for the Atlas of Oregon and the Atlas of Yellowstone.
Mr. West is available for interviews and events. He is an accomplished speaker and passionate voice for both environmental and literary topics.
