7 msec Delay Wireless Microwave Link - The New Revolution from

Singapore, Jun 02, 2016 -- ABonAir, the leading provider of Wireless Microwave Link solutions for professional cameras announced today the release of a breakthrough technology in the field of wireless video latency.

ABonAir’s AB525TM system delivers video in a surprising 7msec delay without compromising the superior video quality ABonAir is known for. The AB525TM includes specially designed H.264 CODEC and supports the MultizoneTM Fiber Coverage Extender (FCE), another unique feature introduced by ABonAir. Such FCEs enable coverage of multiple dispersed zones located on one large site where each zone is connected via a fiber optic cable to the main Receiver.

Other features of the AB525TM include integrated Intercom and IFB, and full CCU/RCP support for leading camera vendors such as Sony, Ikegami, Grass Valley, and Panasonic. The solution is commonly used in racetracks, golf course and university campuses providing coverage for football stadium, basketball arena and swimming pool all by a single system.

The AB525TM is based on ABonAir‘s core technology of a bi-directional link between the Transmitter and Receiver that acknowledges the correct acceptance of each group of pixels, hence, providing exceptionally robust and reliable transmission.

Mr. Eran Igler, ABonAir’s CEO explains: “Our team of experts have designed a revolutionary solution that will take the entire wireless broadcast microwave industry to a new era. The fact that we have achieved remarkable 7msec delay, along with high picture quality of +52 PSNR, sets a new industry standard. Feedback received from our many customers indicated that, as
shifting to progressive broadcasting where a frame time is only 16 msec (in 1080p), the available solutions of 40-60 msec are simple not good enough and a dramatically lower latency is required.”
