Christoph Zierl (MVTec, left) hands over the certificate of the 'MVTec Image Acquisition Partner Program' to Jens Hashagen (Allied Vision) during VISION show 2007 in Stuttgart.

MVTec Software GmbH, Munich, Germany, strengthens the relationship to a large number of suppliers of image acquisition devices. For this purpose, MVTec launched the official ‘MVTec Image Acquisition Partner Program’.

As a leading supplier of standard software products for machine vision, one of MVTec’s primary goals is the development and support of interfaces to provide the best possible integration of hundreds of industrial image acquisition devices into MVTec’s software products HALCON and ActivVisionTools.

One important element of this program is the close collaboration in developing and maintaining these particular image acquisition interfaces as well as in potential support cases. The program guarantees that both the hardware and the software manufacturer have sound knowledge of each other’s products for providing an optimal image acquisition solution.

"The new MVTec Image Acquisition Partner Program provides great benefit for our customers", says Christoph Zierl, director software development at MVTec and responsible for 3rd party integration. "It ensures that both parties are closely connected and continuously work together."

Dedicated members of the MVTec Image Acquisition Partner Program are: Allied Vision, Basler, Baumer, BitFlow, Festo, IDS, JAI, Leutron, Lumenera, Mikrotron, NET, Opteon, Photonfocus, Pleora, Point Grey, Prosilica, Sick IVP, Silicon Software, Tattile, The Imaging Source. More Information:
