Tax Defense Network® Offers Support to Charity Golf Tournament

Tax Defense Network® donated to the annual Mile High Golf Tournament on Friday, April 29th. The charitable event was held at the World Golf Village, with proceeds going to support the Nepalese school, Shree Shanka Devi. This education hub for local villagers has been struggling since spring, 2015, when an earthquake devastated surrounding communities.

“We’ve been providing assistance the Mile High Golf Tournament for a few years now,” commented Frank Valinho, taking a break from his duties as Vice President of Tax Defense Network®. “This was a particularly special year for us, though, given the cause we had the opportunity to support. A strong education is essential, something that’s easy to take for granted in a place free from the ravages of violent earthquakes.”

Tax Defense Network® pledged a generous monetary donation to the charitable tournament, held at the World Golf Village greens. Participants paid $125 each for the pleasure of teaming up for the day-long golf event, which saw the arrival of a number of local golfers and charity enthusiasts, alike. “It’s an excellent local endeavor,” noted Human Resources Director and TDN Foundation President, Pat Fekula. “And one that aligns with the goals we work so hard to achieve with our own organization, Tax Defense Network® Foundation”

“The Tax Defense Network® Foundation has always had a specific focus on helping ‘kids, vets and pets’,” explained Mr. Fekula. “It’s wonderful that we’re able to help so many children in need with this latest event.” The Tax Defense Network® Foundation has offered support to groups such Dreams Come True, the Boys & Girls Club, and K9’s for Warriors – just to name a few – over the last year. The Foundation has also provided assistance to both employees in need, as well as struggling individuals throughout the Jacksonville community.

The Mile High Tournament presents organizations and individuals with the opportunity to help those in need throughout the world. All proceeds from this year’s tournament are earmarked for purchasing supplies, personnel and renovations for the Shree Shanka Devi School. Tax Defense Network®’s support for the Mile High Golf Tournament marks the latest in a series of events and causes sponsored over the last year.

Officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) in November 2014, the Tax Defense Network® Foundation was established to provide support to local organizations concerned with helping children, veterans and animal initiatives. The Foundation has been wildly successful in raising both money and resources for charitable efforts. The TDN Foundation Board meets regularly throughout the year to evaluate their successes, as well as plot out forthcoming projects.
