MBD Alchemie launches its courses for CBSE Class X & XII on CDs
Structured content, instant evaluation and online mentoring available with the coursesMBD Alchemie, India’s largest online educational academy, a venture of the Rs. 200 crore MBD Group, today launched MBD Alchemie CBSE crash courses and CBSE test series for the Class X & XII board examinations 2008 on CD’s. The CDs will be available through more than 10,000 leading booksellers spread across the length and breadth of the country.
MBD Alchemie, a pioneer project on e-learning in India endeavours to become India’s mass education offering through dissemination of high quality standardized content across the country. The first CD offering from the company has an integrated web mentoring model, available to students for the first time in the CD category.
The MBD Alchemie CBSE series offers several pluses to students:

The CD based market for CBSE test series is estimated to be around Rs. 142 crore and MBD Alchemie is looking at tapping a sizeable part of this market. The products are available in individual packing as well as combination packs at costs that provide immense value for money. The MRP of the individual class X CBSE Crash Course is Rs. 349/-, while the combined pack is available for Rs. 599/-. The MRP of the individual class XII CBSE Crash Course is Rs. 349/- and the combined pack is available for Rs. 1099/-.
The subjects dealt with in CBSE X are Maths and Science & Technology and for CBSE XII are Maths, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
The MRP for CBSE testing series for Class X for individual courses is Rs. 199/- while that for the combined pack is Rs.349/-. The cost for the CBSE Class XII testing series is Rs.249/- each for the individual courses and Rs. 949 for all subject combined pack.
The USP of these products is that besides being very competitively priced, the MBD Alchemie CBSE offering comes integrated with an online mentoring module, where the student who buys a CD can opt for online mentoring – almost like having a virtual teacher at your help” at a minimal cost of Rs 150/ per month adds Ms. Monica Malhotra Kandhari.
