Press release from: KDIM Entertainment

Local promoter KDIM Entertainment, Inc. is thrilled to present Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Robin Zander, lead singer of legendary rock band Cheap Trick, at The Ranch in Fort Myers on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 8 p.m. The show will also feature the Las Vegas “Queen of Rock” Carol-Lyn Liddle. Tickets for this event, part of KDIM’s popular Classic Rock Series, are on sale now.

Zander and his Cheap Trick bandmates reached the pinnacle of rock stardom just weeks ago as they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.  Rocking their way through four decades, Cheap Trick sold more than 20 million albums and earned more than 40 gold and platinum album awards. Their latest, Bang, Zoom, Crazy…Hello, debuted at #31 on the Billboard 200 earlier this month, the band’s best-rated album debut in 28 years.

Zander began his career in music playing in various high school bands in Illinois in the 1960s. In the early 70s he switched to folk music and did a residency for three summers at the Wisconsin Dells Picadilly Pub. Between stints, he played in groups featuring drummer Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick. By September of 1974, Carlos convinced Zander to join the band and become the lead singer. The band would go on to record several albums before hitting it big with 1979's classic concert recording, Live at Budokan.  Zander also developed a solo act and recorded an album in 1993 that included an impressive roster of guest talent including Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, Dave Stewart and Don Felder.

Kicking things off for this Classic Rock Series show on May 14 will be Carol-Lyn Liddle, known as Las Vegas’ “Queen of Rock” for having performed in nearly every major hotel/casino in Sin City. Liddle has performed with such powerhouse artists as Aerosmith’s Jimmy Crespo, Bon Jovi’s Hugh McDonald, Heart’s Howard Leese, Whitesnake’s Doug Aldrich and many more. She also performed backup vocals for “The Rock Pack,” KDIM Entertainment’s wildly successful concert series, which included Robin Zander, The Tubes’ Fee Waybill, Kansas’ former lead singer Steve Walsh, Starship’s Mickey Thomas, original lead Toto lead singer Bobby Kimball, and Asia featuring John Payne.
KDIM Entertainment President Kevin Demers said, “Robin Zander returns to The Classic Rock Series fresh off the Barclays Center stage in Brooklyn, where he finally got his due from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Our hard work of bringing legends like him to Southwest Florida is paying off because the fans here are so great.”
Tickets start as low as $29. A limited number of VIP meet and greet tickets are available. For more information, or to purchase a ticket conveniently online visit TheClassicRockSeries.com, ticketfly.com, theranchfortmyers.com or call Ticketfly toll-free at 1-877-987-6487 or The Ranch box office in Fort Myers at 239-985-9839. Tickets will also be available the day of the show, Saturday, May 14 starting at 3 p.m. at The Ranch box office. This event is 21 and over.
