University of Northwestern Ohio Hosts Annual Fall Career Fair for College of Technologies

The University of Northwestern Ohio College of Technologies semiannual Career Fair will be one of the largest ever, with 40 plus companies coming to interact with over 2300 UNOH Tech students.

The Career Fair, open to all UNOH students and alumni, will be held October 1st from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and October 2nd from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Gymnasium on the University Campus. Over 40 well known companies in the national arena will be looking to hire automotive, high performance, HVAC, alternate fuels, diesel, and agricultural technology students.

“Students are very proactive within the last 6 months of obtaining their degree, and this gives them the edge they need to find their career” said Leigh Taylor, UNOH Co-Director of Career Services. “I’ve seen a huge increase of stable employment opportunities for our graduates. We have a lot of big name companies that are seeking out our students now from coast to coast, as well as reoccurring employers that have been hiring our graduates for the last ten to fifteen years or more.”

UNOH College of Technology students have the opportunity to meet prospective employers, talk to them one on one, hand our resumes, and set appointments to interview with them.

The University of Northwestern Ohio offers lifetime job assistance to all graduates, and approximately 95% of all students are placed into their field of study.

Examples of companies coming to the fair to recruit include, Primedia, Roush Racing, NTB, Crown Lift Trucks, Ryder, Travel Centers of American, TRC (Transportation Research Center), Waste Management, Job1USA, Advanced Technology Services (ATS), Custom Training Group, Kirk Nationalease, Emerson Climate Control Systems, Ohio and Michigan CAT, Buckeye Western Star, Cleveland MACK Sales, FYDA Freightliner, Arvin Meritor and many more. More companies are registering daily.

The College of Technologies offers associate degrees, diploma and certificate programs. These programs take from 36 weeks to 2 years to complete. Classes are Monday through Thursday in the morning, afternoon, evening, and early morning.

Enrollment in the technical courses of the College of Technologies is limited to 20 students. Graduates of the College of Technologies programs are trained to perform entry-level skills in their field(s) of endeavor.
