Safeguard Self Storage Purchases Land for New Facility in Miami Shores, Florida
“The Florida market is important for Safeguard and this purchase will build on the company’s efforts to develop real critical mass there,” said Jim Goonan, Safeguard’s Senior Vice President of Development. “We have been building in Florida for well over a decade.”
The 74,875 leasable square-foot facility will provide 948 storage units in various sizes including three out-buildings with 14,100 RSF of drive-up storage product. Amenities at this location will include heating/air conditioning, drive-up loading area, computer-controlled building access and digital/video recording of the property. The site is located immediately adjacent to the very busy Route 95 and the design is intended to communicate the brand boldly to the tens of thousands of cars driving by daily. More glass and strong branding should give a boost to brand awareness in this marketplace.
