Governor Charlie Baker Issues Citation in Support of April 11th

In support of April 11th as “Massachusetts Restaurant Day for No Kid Hungry,” Governor Charlie Baker issued a citation in recognition of the efforts of the restaurant community and their work to benefit this important cause. On April 11th, 2016, five restaurants across Massachusetts: Tremont 647, One Eleven Chop House, The Quarterdeck, Cobblestones of Lowell and East Bay Grille will unite to create a unique dining experience and work in collaboration to help benefit No Kid Hungry’s nutrition education programming in Massachusetts.

“The Massachusetts Restaurant Association is very proud of our five Board Members and their staffs who have stepped forward to make a difference in making certain children are well nourished. We believe this can grow year by year across the entire state from Newburyport to Provincetown, Boston to Pittsfield and everywhere in between.” – Bob Luz, President of the MRA

“Share Our Strength is incredibly proud to partner with the MRA and each participating restaurant on April 11th. We are grateful to Chef Andy Husbands for his dedication and leadership over the years for ending childhood hunger. We are continually humbled by the generosity of the culinary community and look forward to continuing to work together for this important cause.” – Emily Ryan, Associate Director of Share Our Strength
