Press release from: The Big Salad

The Big Salad, Michigan’s fast-casual salad restaurant group, is partnering with Running Fit, a premier provider of events and products for the area’s running community, in sponsoring a series of events this spring and summer.
For CEO and Founder John Bornoty, the partnership is personal as he will be running in all events in addition to overseeing The Big Salad’s involvement.
The full slate of events includes:
April 9th - Martian Invasion at Ford Park, Dearborn, which features 5K and 10K events, a half marathon, full marathon, and kid’s marathon.
May 6th - Hightail to Ale 5K with Atwater Brewery
June 18th - Canton Liberty Run at Heritage Park, which will feature a 5K, 10K, and “Uncle Sam Slam,” which involves running both races back to back.
The Big Salad’s sponsorship includes giveaways for each participating athlete, t-shirts and coupons. The Big Salad is also providing signage throughout the course for each event.
“I’m so thrilled to partner with John and the team from The Big Salad,” said Running Fit’s Dawn McConnachie. “We look forward to extending our shared values of healthy initiatives to our surrounding communities with these lifestyle-focused races.”
Any racer who brings in their medal within one week of the event will receive a buy-one-get-one free salad at any of The Big Salad’s six metro-Detroit locations.
The Big Salad will be announcing additional races with Running Fit this summer, with special “fun run” events hosted at each of their local restaurant locations.
