Ventura #GivingTuesday

For the second straight year, Ventura Fire Foundation is joining the global nonprofit community and participating in #GivingTuesday.

#GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

This year, #GivingTuesday falls on November 28. On that day, we encourage all Ventura businesses and residents to show their appreciation for local firefighters in two ways -

Donate to Ventura Fire Foundation. All dollars received are directed towards the Foundation's wellness progrms for firefighters and their families.
Donations can be made online at www.venturafirefoundation.org; click the green bar across the top of the page.

Thank a firefighter on social media. Post your story how a firefighter helped you. Be sure to tag #venturafirefoundation so we can share it as well.
In 2022, Ventura Fire Foundation raised more than $10,000 in its #GivingTuesday campaign. This year, the goal is $15,000.

"Whether it's battling a wildfire, providing care in a medical emergency, or even responding to a false alarm, we've all been helped by local firefighters." says Joe Booth, executive director of the Ventura Fire Foundation.
