Calgary, Alberta, Canada - CleanO2 Carbon Capture Technologies is honoured to announce that it has entered an exclusive license agreement with Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. and Okaya Co., Ltd. A􀅌er more than two years of R&D in Tokyo Gas's lab, the three companies are partnering to introduce CleanO2's innovative CarbinX™ carbon capture units and Japan's first "CO2 Resource Service."
"As CEO of CleanO2, I'm inspired by what can be achieved when forward-thinking companies come together. This collaboration with Tokyo Gas and Okaya Co. exemplifies how innovation and partnership can drive real change. We're not just capturing carbon; we're capturing the imagination of what is possible for a sustainable future."

Harnessing CO2's Potential
Our partnership will leverage Tokyo Gas and Okaya's technical capabilities and business reach to deploy CleanO2's CarbinX technology. CarbinX captures CO2 produced from building heating systems and converts it into valuable carbonates. With Okaya's assistance, Tokyo Gas will manage the deployment of CarbinX units for industrial customers such as factories in Japan and will service the units and supply the carbonate by-products.

Widening the Carbonate Horizon
Designed with commercial applications in mind, these carbonates can be used in a diverse range of consumer and industrial products. "Together, our companies are exploring new applications and opportunities for these carbonates in Japan, including detergents, fertilizers, paper product additives and water conditioning products," says Cardiff. "We also expect it will be used in soaps, shampoos and conditioners as has been done in North America".

Innovation in Products
Tokyo Gas has developed two new products that utilize captured CO2-produced carbonates - a "CO2 Recycled Laundry Soap" in cooperation with a major soap and detergent brand in Japan and a ground-breaking fertilizer, EcoKaliumTM.
Partnership with Okaya & Co.

Okaya Co. is one of Japan's oldest companies (1669) and is a multi-billion dollar enterprise that specializes in the sale, exporting, and importing of products in a multifaceted manner via the global network of the Okaya Group. These products include electrical and electronic parts, chemical products, machinery and tools, construction-related items and food products. "Given their global reach and diverse product portfolio, we are confident Okaya will amplify our ability to reach a broader spectrum of industrial sectors and markets.

Community and Environmental Impact
This initiative closely aligns with all three companies' commitment to environmental stewardship. By utilizing carbonates in a variety of products, we collectively contribute to the local capturing and re-use of CO2 emissions and promote sustainable community development.

A Unified Vision for a Sustainable Future
This triparty collaboration will move forward one of the important initiatives stated in Tokyo Gas Group's management vision, "Compass2030" and CleanO2's objective of emerging as a global leader in carbon capture and re-use technology. Together, we stand committed to reducing and harnessing CO2 emissions to build a sustainable circular economy that fosters global environmental sustainability.
