TECTUS shows Efficient, Mobile RFID usage with the RFID/NFC MultiPen at the LogiMAT 2016

Moers, 01.03.2016 Companies want to use RFID technology for identification of equipment in industrial areas. The companies want to improve their maintenance and logistics processes by using mobile computers like rugged smart phones and Tablets with integrated NFC /RFID function to read high frequency NFC or HF RFID TAGs. Often the RFID / NFC TAGs are installed in a corner or very close to each other with the result that the reading with a smart phone or tablet is not practical. To overcome this situation TECTUS has developed the MultiPen mobile RFID/ NFC reader. The light weight MultiPen device reads UIDs of RFID and NFC Tags which are mounted at inaccessible places. The MultiPen is actually available in „3 in 1“ Multi-Frequency-version to read 125kHz/ 134kHz FDX-B/HDX / 13,56 MHz tags. UIDs of LF- and HF ISO15693 and NFC ISO14443 transponders can be read by pushing the read button. The UID is displayed on the 4 row OLED device display and can (depending which mode was chosen) be stored into the integrated data base of the device memory, or could be sent directly to the smart phone or tablet via Bluetooth™ connection. In addition the data transfer can be done by using the integrated USB interface by using the synchronisation function. The USB is also used for the charging of the integrated battery which allows working the whole day long with the MultiPen up to 1000 UID reads. The device configuration of the MultiPen can optionally be done via an Android™ or Windows™ App. More MultiPen versions and combinations allowing to read UIDs of UHF RFID TAGs will be introduced later on.
