Atticus Ross Brings NIN Back in New TRIPLE 9 Soundtrack - Released Today

According to Ross, the score was a departure from a traditional soundtrack, “John was very involved with the musical composition, he had a particular vision for the music on this movie which was raw sounding electronics accompanied by, bizarrely, a saxophone. John wanted to avoid ‘sophistication’ and capture the excitement of hands-on performances with noisy, broken machines.”
Atticus Ross has successfully transitioned from songwriter and musician to film composer. In 2010, Ross along with Nine Inch Nails founding member Trent Reznor won the Oscar for Best Score for the film The Social Network. Other collaborations with Reznor include two films (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl), five Nine Inch Nails albums, the band ‘How to Destroy Angels’, and work with a variety of other artists.
