New SFC from Thar Process Fits the Drug Discovery Lab but Scales-Up to GMP Labs
Pittsburgh, PA, USA - September 26, 2023 - Thar Process, a US-based CRO / CDMO and manufacturer of advanced technologies for the extraction and purification, today announced the upgrade of its latest SFC system, the Isolator 3-5 to meet the needs of GMP drug development labs. The Isolator SFC™ 3-5 is a fully automated system that uses supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) to purify a wide range of compounds, including synthetic pharmaceuticals, biomolecules, fine chemicals, terpenes, and other natural products.The upgraded Isolator SFC™ 3-5 is designed for ease of use and scalability including a new Siemens PLC enabling even more robust CFR 21 Part 11 software, making it ideal for both R&D and clinical scale manufacturing applications. The system features a number of innovative features, including:
- Compatibility with 3, 5 and 8cm columns for various scales and budgets
- Simplified software that is both easy to use but customizable for experts
- Modular design that allows for easy expansion and customization
Thar Process has already shipped Isolator 3-5 systems to customers all over the world, including the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Customers are using the Isolator 3-5 to purify a wide range of compounds, including cannabinoids, terpenes, essential oils, and pharmaceutical intermediates.
