Conroe is the Center of Magical Entertainment in Texas

Conroe Conjuring, a monthly Evening of Comedy and Magic will be premiering at the Historic Owen Theatre in downtown Conroe, Texas starting November 17th and 18th.

Not since the iconic Houston nightclub Magic Island closed its door in 2008 have magicians from around the country appeared regularly in public shows in the Houston area.

This will now change with a rotating series of Master Magicians appearing monthly at the Owen Theatre in downtown Conroe in an ongoing series of shows called "Conroe Conjuring".

Conroe Conjuring will star magicians that you have seen performing on cruise ships around the world, comedy clubs and showrooms around the country, and on network television specials in a clean family-friendly evening of magic and comedy!

"The Owen Theatre is the perfect size venue for magic," magician and show producer Harry Maurer says. "Its intimate 250 seats allow audiences the perfect view of the show and allows people to not just experience the magic, but to participate as well! With the support of the city of Conroe, we are providing a unique experience in the downtown area by creating a different and unusual theatrical evening that will help bring more people into the downtown area."

If you haven't been to the downtown area of Conroe lately, you will be surprised at how it has grown with theaters, live musical entertainment, restaurants, and unique merchant shops.

Conroe Conjuring is presented once a month with the first show scheduled for November 17th and 18th starring "Atlantic City Entertainer of the Year Award" nominee, Harry Maurer in a 90-minute whirlwind of magic, comedy, and fun. Future performers will include magician Scott Pepper from England - one of the stars of the TV series "Masters of Illusion" and a host of magicians you have seen on television and major venues around the country.
