CEO Ralf Hofmann can calculate with revenues that have nearly doubled compared to the previous year.

Neckarsulm, 16th November 2015 – The KACO new energy Group expects 200 million Euro turnover in 2015. One thing is already clear: the inverter manufacturer has managed to almost double its 2014 turnover.

In what is a difficult environment for European manufacturers, the KACO new energy Group – made up of its Headquarters in Neckarsulm, together with its subsidiaries in South Korea and the USA – has increased its turnover to almost double that of the previous year. That means that the German inverter manufacturer has done by itself what many competitors, despite them receiving cash injections from abroad, have failed to achieve, thus allowing KACO new energy to emerge strengthened from the crisis of the European PV market. KACO new energy is therefore looking optimistically to 2016, in which it is striving to achieve further growth and a turnover of 250 million Euro.

The most important reasons for the positive 2015 financial statement can be attributed on the one hand to good growth in the North American and Asian Pacific companies, as well as to stable business with slight growth in the more complex European market on the other hand. It must be stressed that KACO new energy USA actually nearly tripled its turnover. The three parts of the group benefit from a comprehensive product range, which is tailored exactly to meet the real needs of today’s PV customers.

This positive business dynamism just shows that the KACO new energy re-structuring and further development measures implemented in the course of the 2020 Vision are taking an effective hold. Amongst other things these include cooperation with competent manufacturing and sales partners, such as in Saudi Arabia or Thailand, a sophisticated, cost-efficient service strategy, and focused reinforcement of the team in growth markets. These measures are also accompanied by general cost-savings in all company divisions.

Good, solid house-keeping at all times, as well as the timely decisions to set up production and sales in the three major global PV regions have definitely proven themselves to be right: alongside the German Headquarters in Neckarsulm, conducting business principally in EMEA, facilities in San Antonio, Texas, and Seongnam, South Korea, constitute the pillars of the company’s success these days. Evidence of this can be seen from the fact that, KACO new energy Asia also succeeded in exporting 15 Powador XP500-HV TL to the Japanese market, which is difficult to access, in addition to the 25 that it exported to Thailand. These 20 MW, complete with fittings, account for 3 million US dollars turnover in the Asian Pacific region alone.

So what does 2016 have in store? Above all, new highly-competitive products for the residential, commercial and utility sectors, but also integrated solutions based on advanced technological development, including the award-winning Ultraverter system and compact inverters for PV power plants. Similarly, there is now great demand worldwide for providing residential estates with PV-generated electricity and heating, such as in the demonstration project which was successfully completed in the Baden-Württemberg town of Weinsberg. The CEO, Ralf Hofmann promises: "In times of faceless mass-produced goods, our customers worldwide can continue to rely on top 'Made in Germany' quality".

KACO new energy is amongst the world’s largest manufacturers of solar inverters. With offices in 16 countries, the company offers inverters for every array size from the smallest homes to the largest solar farms of hundreds of Megawatts. KACO new energy is based in Neckarsulm, near Stuttgart, Germany and the production facilities there, in the Americas and Asia have supplied around 7 Gigawatts of inverters since 1999. The company was the first inverter manufacturer to achieve fully carbon-neutral production and is rapidly heading towards power self-sufficiency. KACO new energy also supplies energy storage systems and battery inverters, as well as inverters for PV-Diesel hybrid systems and combined heat and power plants. In 2014, KACO new energy celebrated the centenary of the original company which was one of the first suppliers of inverters in the late 1930s. Read more at www.kaco-newenergy.com
