Three one-week holiday retreats for women in recovery from addiction offer a safe for women to spend the holidays while rebuilding their strength in sobriety for the New Year

Beginning in November, the Open Door Retreat will offer special retreats for women in recovery during the stressful upcoming holiday weeks. Open Door Retreat (opendoorretreat.com), a women’s addiction recovery center, offers a safe place for women to spend the holidays in peaceful, nurturing environment where they can find focus and clarity before tackling the New Year.

“The holiday season can certainly test a person’s resolve – regardless of how strong they have been in their recovery efforts throughout the year. We designed these special holiday retreat sessions as a way for women to find strength in sobriety during these stressful times,” says Ty Goodridge-Lund, founder of the Open Door Retreat.

Open Door Retreat, a US based center located in beautiful San Miguel de Allende Mexico, caters to women in recovery from all types of addictions, from drugs and alcohol to food and co-dependency.

At these special addiction retreats, women will experience:

• An individually customized retreat to address their specific recovery and emotional needs
• Mental health counselor sessions
• Meditation
• Group meetings
• Daily journaling
• Yoga
• Cooking classes
• Daily spiritual walks

Each spiritual retreat is specifically tailored for each woman to help her meet her personal goals with a selection of hand-picked activities that compliment the core set of retreat activities. In the past, Goodridge-Lund has arranged sessions of equine therapy, artistic expression, dance classes, and photography lessons in order to help various women develop their own personal strength in recovery.

The Open Door Retreat will hold three special holiday sessions:

• Thanksgiving Holiday Session: November 17th – 24th
• Christmas Holiday Session: December 20th – 27th
• New Year’s Holiday Session: December 27th – January 3rd

To register for the one-week addiction recovery retreats, women can call 888-404-7625 or complete the online registration form at http://www.opendoorretreat.com/register.php.
