Chrysallis – Close to Disability will participate in the kick-off meeting of “How to talk to be understood” project that will take place on 03-04 November 2007 in Krakow, Poland. The “How to talk to be understood” project is funded by the Life Long Learning (Learning Partnership) programme. The ultimate goal of the project is to develop in adults with autism one of the basic skills, i.e. social communication, by means of a multimedia didactic program prepared with international cooperation and released on a CD.
The project is targeted at high-functioning adults with autism who belong to disadvantageous disabled group because autism impairs communication skills, social interactions and cognitive functions and has strong impact on the independent life when the level of social demands increases.

Chrysallis is a non-profit and voluntary organisation based in Athens, Greece, that strives to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. Chrysallis works against the discrimination and exclusion that people with disabilities face in all aspects of society and aims at their socio-economical and educational integration offering them opportunities for life long learning, support and knowledge in new technologies.
