Safety recall: ABM – handlebar type multiClip
Where is the problem?
Due to incorrect information concerning torques written in the belonging mounting instruction and the use of screws with a wrong grade it is possible that the anti-twist protection of the handlebar at the tube might not be sufficient anymore. Thus, the handlebar could come off. Moreover, screws which have been tightened with a torque too high could break uncontrolled, so that the stability of the clamping could no longer be ensured.
What needs to be done?
ABM urgently asks all users and retailers of this product to contact the ABM sales team, latest until 7th August 2015. It is vitally necessary to coordinate further proceedings to restore the function and the safety of the handlebar type multiClip. In cases where the motorcycle with a mounted multiClip was sold or scrapped, ABM also asks for receiving appropriate information.
