Renowned Pianist Reza Tajbakhsh Blends Innovation and Education with Upcoming Album 'Chikology' and Prestigious 'Yar' Academy

Pioneering pianist and musician, Reza Tajbakhsh, has unveiled his latest creation, a captivating new album titled "Chikology." The celebrated Iranian artist released the first single from the album in 2021, heralding an exciting new phase in his musical journey. Set to fully launch in 2024, the album features collaborations with world-renowned artists including Dave Weckl, John Patitucci, Bill Evans, and Al Di Meola.

Embarking on a new musical exploration, Tajbakhsh immerses himself in the vibrant rhythms of Latin jazz in "Chikology." In his own words, it is the "best track he has ever created." The collaboration with music legends like Weckl and Patitucci was a cherished opportunity. "They are the pride of the music world, and I was fortunate to work with them," Tajbakhsh said.

Beyond his contributions as a musician, Tajbakhsh is nurturing the future of Iranian music through the "Yar" piano academy. Co-founded in 2021 with Amir Motamedi and Yalda Samadi, the academy currently serves 400 students, offering an unparalleled learning experience in various piano styles.

"We might have started a bit late, but I'm glad we're now able to impart our knowledge and experiences to the younger generation of pianists," shared Tajbakhsh.

The Yar academy, based on Fereshteh Street in Tehran, is an epitome of modern luxury and tradition. It is internationally recognized for its beauty, accessibility, and high-quality piano education, becoming a beacon of Iran's thriving music scene.

Born on November 18, 1981, in Tehran, Reza Tajbakhsh has been a significant figure in the Iranian music industry since 2000. He leads the popular "E-Jazz" band, known for their Jazz-Latin performances. His accolades include being chosen as the best Piano Player in 2012 and Best Pop Music Arranger in 2013.
