PAR Foundation Reveals Winners of Grant Call 2023 for AMR Research and Education Initiatives

PAR Foundation is delighted to announce the recipients of its highly anticipated Grant Call for 2023. After careful evaluation and consideration, the foundation has selected exceptional grantees in two categories: Research Grants and Education Grants. The winners have demonstrated outstanding potential in advancing understanding and combating the global challenge of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

The Research Grant category seeks to support pioneering research projects focused on preventing and managing bacterial infections and antibiotic resistance using innovative methods. PAR Foundation recognizes the urgent need for collaborative efforts across various sectors, including human and animal health, food production, the environment, research, and international development cooperation, to effectively address the growing threat of AMR.

In line with its commitment to creating awareness and fostering understanding of antibiotic resistance, the Education Grant category aims to engage the next generation of health students, scientists, advocates and researchers through educational initiatives. These initiatives play a crucial role in raising awareness in society and promoting measures to mitigate the impact of AMR, as recognized by the World Health Organization as a top 10 global public health threat.

"Their research projects and educational initiatives hold immense promise in addressing antimicrobial resistance. To celebrate the accomplishments of this year's grantees and showcase their winning projects, PAR Foundation hosted a webinar on June 20 at 14:00 CET. The seminar provided an excellent opportunity for grantees to present their work and engage with key stakeholders in the field.
