EARWAYS Medical Welcomes Alicia D.D. Spoor, Au.D. to its Scientific Advisory Board

Spoor, Au.D., to its esteemed Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Spoor brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the board, further strengthening EARWAYS Medical's commitment to innovation and advancing hearing care.

Dr. Alicia D.D. Spoor, Audiologist, is the President of Designer Audiology, LLC, established in 2014. Prior to opening her practice, she was a member of the cochlear implant and hearing aid teams at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona and also worked in private practices around the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. regions. She holds a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Audiology and Speech Sciences from Michigan State University. Dr. Spoor's clinical internship experiences encompassed prestigious institutions such as Bethesda National Naval Medical Center, Ft. Belvoir Army Community Hospital, and Kendall Demonstration Elementary School. Her education also includes eight years of formal American Sign Language training, along with intensive coursework in Deaf culture and multicultural sensitivity.

Dr. Spoor has actively contributed to the audiology profession, serving as the Past-President and Advocacy Chair for the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, Past-President and Legislative Chair of the Maryland Academy of Audiology, and is a former member of the Salus University's Osborne College of Audiology Advisory Board. She is passionate about mentoring students during their clinical rotations, further demonstrating her dedication to advancing the profession of Audiology.
