11Giraffes Introduces Support for Seneca Media Players

Seneca to offer media players through 11Giraffes resellers, focusing initially on applications incorporating live television.
The relationship between 11Giraffes and Seneca begins with the 11G-HD1.3 to address a need for media players supporting real-time encoding and pass-through of external video. Examples include waiting rooms and sports bars where live television is incorporated within the digital signage presentation. 11Giraffes will include support for additional Seneca hardware in the near future.
“It is exciting to know that 11Giraffes recognizes the engineering leadership Seneca designs into its products, and we are most proud of that. This collaborative partnership will simplify technology in digital signage installations.” said Steve Maser, Seneca Vice President Sales and Marketing.
“Our resellers asked for a standalone media player that enabled live TV to be included as part of the digital signage programming. Seneca helped us identify and certify the right hardware, including an internal video encoder, that met our price point for this solution” added 11Giraffes Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Operations, Jim Marascio. “Their ability to engineer the total solution, including the sourcing of components, software imaging, staging and fulfilling orders directly to our resellers was a significant factor in our selection.”
Seneca media player hardware, running 11Giraffes media player software, integrates within the 11Giraffes software-as-a-service digital signage platform, enabling users to create media, upload existing content, schedule, traffic, distribute and monitor remotely administered digital signage networks worldwide. Additional Seneca media players will be offered to address other application requirements.
