Linden Leaves Joins Forces with New Zealand Breast Cancer

15 June 2023.

Linden Leaves, a leading New Zealand skincare brand, is thrilled to announce its partnership with the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation (BCFNZ) in a collective effort to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research, support, and education. The collaboration aims to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by breast cancer across the country.

Breast cancer remains a pressing issue in New Zealand, with nine women being diagnosed daily. Shockingly, among the 3,500 women diagnosed each year, approximately 370 are under the age of 45. Recognising the importance of early detection, Linden Leaves stands committed to supporting BCFNZ's mission to increase mammogram screening rates, as a 10-year survival rate of 95% is proven attainable through early detection.

Despite the availability of free screening, over 30% of eligible women do not access this vital service. Linden Leaves acknowledges the need to address this gap and believes that every woman deserves access to life-saving mammogram screening. By rallying the support of our valued customers throughout New Zealand, we are dedicated to raising funds that will directly contribute to breast cancer prevention, support, and research.

"The decision to partner with the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation was a natural choice for us," says Juliet Blair, CEO at Linden Leaves. "Our purpose at Linden Leaves is to nurture and care for women, supporting them throughout their lives and offering moments of delight. By aligning with BCFNZ, we can extend this purpose beyond our skincare products and make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer."

Through this partnership, Linden Leaves aims to engage its passionate community of customers in the shared goal of supporting BCFNZ. Fundraising via sales of a hero Linden Leaves natural product and various initiatives and events will be organised to raise funds, increase awareness, and encourage participation in mammogram screening programs. Linden Leaves is determined to help drive positive change and empower women to prioritise their breast health.
