BigRio Sponsors Harvard Prize Money Winner in the Rice Business Plan Competition!

Cambridge, MA - Cambridge-based digital technology consulting firm BigRio is proud to announce that a team of IT entrepreneurs from Harvard University was the recipient of the company's Cutting Edge Software Prize in the 2023 Rice Business Plan Competition (RBPC).
The Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship's Business Plan Competition is the world's largest and richest intercollegiate student startup competition. The University's internationally recognized initiative is devoted to the support of entrepreneurship in tech and IT.

BigRio's Cutting Edge Software Prize was designed to be awarded to the startup that has developed an innovative software solution that addresses a significant challenge or market opportunity.
The award of $5000 went to the overall 7th place winner, Pathways, a team from Harvard University, for their AI-driven analysis tool for detecting embodied carbon in building construction projects.
BigRio is a well-known incubator and facilitator for AI and machine learning startups. As such, the company has been instrumental in helping bring unique and cutting-edge AI and ML solutions like all of those showcased at the 2023 RBPC competition.
