Smoking Gun: AdventHealth Received a $747 Million Covid Tax Bailout Despite Record Profits and a 248.7% Increase in Net Assets During the Pandemic

Open the Books published an article on May 10, 2023, about how the top 20 "non-profit" hospital systems in the United States made enormous profits during the Covid pandemic. As expected, AdventHealth was mentioned in this report. Keep in mind that even though Loma Linda University Health, Adventist Health, Kettering Health Network, Adventist HealthCare, and other church-owned healthcare systems were not included in this article, they also profited greatly for supporting the CDC's vaccination program during the pandemic.

According to AdventHealth's financial disclosure, it saw its combined net assets soar to 248.7% during the Covid pandemic. Prior to Covid-19, in 2018, AdventHealth had assets worth a total of $4.1 billion. Once the pandemic began, it jumped to $14.3 billion, or 248.7%. In addition to this record profit, AdventHealth also received $747 million in Covid tax relief, despite the fact that during the pandemic, one-third of small businesses permanently closed their doors.

Being forced to stay inside our homes, wearing masks everywhere, closing and destroying businesses, banning family visits, closing parks and beaches, rejecting natural immunity, shutting places of worship, and arresting and fining those who dared not follow the draconian measures-it was a nightmare.
Both the world and the church demonized anyone who even dared to suggest that medicine was becoming politicized for money and power. However, numerous reports today demonstrate that masks were ineffective, vaccines were unable to stop infections or transmissions, and oppressive health regulations caused a great deal of harm to people. According to one medical professional quoted in Newsweek, "It's Time for the Scientific Community to Admit We Were Wrong About COVID and It Cost Lives."

However, while some people lost their lives, jobs, and fortunes, others profited immensely from the pain and suffering of others. A globalist at the World Economic Forum stated that "COVID has been one of the most profitable products ever." Some people profited from the pandemic, while the vast majority of people suffered unnecessarily. Fear and hysteria generated billions of dollars for pharmaceutical companies and hospital systems. While other businesses were forced to close, "non-profit" healthcare systems raked in billions.

In light of this, why did the Seventh-day Adventist Church publicly state that it was in favor of "government health mandates"? Why did the General Conference dictate that protests against mandatory vaccines should not invoke claims of "religious liberty"? A well-known adage in business states that "profitability covers a multitude of iniquities." This suggests that whenever something is financially successful, people may be inclined to overlook any negative shortcoming in favor of monetary gain.

All Seventh-day Adventist believers and those who value freedom should be extremely concerned about the stance that our church adopted during this pandemic. No, our leaders weren't neutral. In fact, they committed a greater offense. They sided with the violators of freedom and were handsomely compensated with record profits. This is very troubling, especially in light of the fact that they supported those who made every effort to prevent working Americans from feeding their families unless they bowed down to the vaccine tyranny.
