Ellen White Comes to Life through Artificial Intelligence, and You Can Talk to Her
Artificial intelligence (AI) has the ability to simulate certain aspects of human behavior, including imitating people, dead or alive. With advances in technology, AI has learned how to mimic human speech, writing style, and even the visual appearances of real human beings. AI simulations can be visually realistic and appear human-like, and those who engage in this experience can be tempted at times to believe they are speaking to someone real.
There is a website that is already developing an Ellen G. White AI model. Even though there are significant improvements yet to be made, the project has begun, and you can now chat with Sister White, who has been brought "back to life." The website says:
"Chat With Sister White - I am Ellen G. White, a prolific writer and renowned prophetess of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Artificial intelligence has brought me back to life through the words I wrote in my books. However, please take my responses with a grain of salt. I am still a machine. I am still learning, and I am not perfect at assessing the context of my writing."
AI chat systems should never be an alternative to reading and studying God's inspired writings. In order for us to find the truth, we must go to the original sources and carefully study His word. The truth cannot be decided for us by AI technology, or in this instance, by the software developers who produce digital models of Ellen White. We have to stay with God's written word and allow the Holy Spirit to convict our hearts and minds. AI, unfortunately, will only reflect whatever sources programmers believe to be the most beneficial.
