LSA Corporate Car Adds FlexFuel Vehicles to Fleet

Washington D.C., October 12, 2007 – LSA Corporate Car, one of the leading luxury ground transportation companies in the Washington DC area, announced today that they have acquired three FlexFuel Chevrolet Suburbans to add to their growing fleet of vehicles that run on both gasoline and E85 ethanol - a cleaner-burning fuel derived primarily from U.S.-grown corn and other grain products. The addition of these vehicles is one step in a comprehensive sustainability program that LSA has initiated to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

“We have dedicated ourselves to a dynamic list of green initiatives,” states LSA President Alex Pope, III. “Using vehicles that have the capability of running on a renewable fuel source is one of these initiatives that not only helps reduce greenhouse gases but also enhances the nation’s economy and energy independence.”

In addition to the new Suburbans, LSA already has Mercedes Sprinter passenger vans, limousine coaches, and many sedans that provide increased mileage and decreased emissions.

As part of its overall sustainability program, LSA has become a charter member of the Limousine Environmental Action Partnership (LEAP) which assists transportation companies with emissions goal setting, carbon inventory maintenance and reporting, and carbon offsetting.

“We consider becoming more environmentally conscious as a necessary responsibility,” according to Pope. “By taking the steps to improve our environment, we hope to inspire others to do the same.”

Besides the usage of alternative fuels, LSA’s sustainability program includes a variety of other initiatives such as a no idling policy, carefully monitored speed regulations for drivers, and a rigorous fleet maintenance plan that ensures the cleanest possible emissions. As well, the company has adopted the philosophy – Reduce, Renew, and Offset, and every LSA employee is contributing to the company’s goals of reducing emissions, neutralizing remaining emissions, and supporting the renewable energy industry.
